One-and two-dimensional stop-Ñow HPLCÈNMR experiments were applied to investigate a root extract of Ancistrocladus likoko (Ancistrocladaceae). Three new naphthylisoquinoline alkaloids with a 5,8@ coupling pattern were found. The constitutions and relative conÐgurations were elucidated by application

✦ Synopsis
Two fucose-containing pentasaccharides were isolated fromgoat's milk using a Bio-Gel P-4column, followed by reverse-phase C-18 high-performance liquid chromatography.
The structures of the pentasaccharides as characterized by high-field 'H-n.m.r. spectroscopy and enzymatic digestion were found to be @Galp-( 1 -+4)-p-D-GlcpNAc-( 1+6)-B-D-Galp-( I -~4)-D-Gkp a-L-Fucp-( 1+ 3) and j?-D-Galp-( 1 +3)-/3-D-GlcpNAc-( l-+6)-P-D-Galp-( 1 -+D-Gkp
