✦ Synopsis
The effect of the rigidityand shape of a bulky kinetic chain element on the basic characteristics of local mobility are investigated by using a dynamic polymer chain model. The results are used to evaluate the characteristic times of local motions for a poly(amid0imide) molecule in solution. The effective length of a kinetic segment is determined f o r flexible chain polymers poly(methy1 methacrylate) and poly(parach1orostyrene) on the basis of experimental data o n local mobility.
