Experimental measurements of nitric oxide reduction by ammonia injection into combustion products are reported. A uniform combustion effluent was supplied by a flat flame of methane, oxygen, argon, and ammonia (to generate NO in the products). Secondary ammonia was introduced through a secondary dif

โฆ Synopsis
The products of reaction cf NO Gth breakdown products of NH3 in nn H2/N2/02 flame at 1500 K were investigated by mass spectromctric analysis of the hot gases. It is concluded that the nxjor process invobing NO 2nd NH is NO + NH -N2 + 0 + H and thnt not more than 10% of reactive collisions Ixtwcen these species lead to N20 + H.

We use RRKM theory to calculate rate constants and product branching fractions for NH + NO, comparing results for an ab initio surface and two recent empirical surfaces. In addition we compare trajectory and RRKM branching fractions based on the empirical surfaces, including an assessment of zero-po
