✦ Synopsis

We report here on the detection of (SFs),,.X-(X= SFs, SF+ SFs) ions which form by electron attachment to SF6 clusters in a molecular beam. The formation of some species, e.g. SFs,SFF with resonances at 6 and 10 eV, is unexpected because attachment to the bare SF, molecule does not yield the analogous monomer fragment ion in this energy range.
