Pitcher led a party of amateur geologists to sct the geology of the Wirral. On 30th April, Professor F. W. Cope demonstrated the geology of North Staffordshire. THE s o c m ' s SILVER MEDAL was awarded to Dr. D. A. Bassctt, Keeper of Geology at the National Muscum of Wales.
