The water uptake, transport and mechanical properties of organic-inorganic hybrid materials based on sulfonated and silylated, cross-linked polyetheretherketone (called SOSi-PEEK/N, where N is the molar percentage of silylated monomeric units) for application in fuel cells are reported. The mechanic
## Abstract Water transport in an operating PEM fuel cell was investigated with synchrotron Xβray radiography with a spatial resolution of 3βΞΌm and a temporal resolution of 5βs. This method allows for the detection of water accumulations with less than 10βΞΌm diameter. We demonstrate that synchrotro
