✦ Synopsis
Six specimens of ultrafine RuO2-IrO2-TiO 2 ternary oxide particles with different content ratios have been prepared by a sol-gel method using metal alkoxides. Only a RuO2-rich specimen was composed of a mixture of futile-type oxide phase and a metallic phase, while the other specimens were composed of only rutile-type oxide phase after calcination of them in air at 450°C for 3 h. The comparison of the XRD spectra of these ternary oxide particles with those of ternary oxide films prepared by a conventional dip-coating method on titanium plate substrates suggested that the oxide particles tended to attain more stable state than the oxide films.

## Abstract By sol–gel processing, the regenerated nano‐TiO~2~/SF (silk fibroin) hybrid films were synthesized using different ratios of TiO~2~ to SF. The experimental results revealed that the nano‐TiO~2~ particles were well dispersed in the regenerated SF. The diameter of the nano‐TiO~2~ particle
The pH value in the gel-sol system for the preparation of uniform anatase TiO2 nanoparticles, as a decisive factor for controlling the size and shape of the final product, was found to be significantly changed during the formation process of the anatase TiO2 particles from a condensed Ti(OH)4 gel. T
