โฆ Synopsis
Hydrocortisone, 21-desoxy-Ya~~uoro-6a-methylprednisolone, and ba-nietliylprednisolone, 21-acetate were labeled with tritium by the Wilzbach tritium-gas exposure method. The latter compourid was also tritiated by exposure to tritium gas in the presence of a platinumblack catalyst. Although extensive purgeations were required, in each rasp radiockemically pure material of suficiently high speciJic activity for its intended use was obtained. Incorporation of stably bound tritium was nine times greater by catalytic tritiation than by the conventional Wilzhach method.
