Abstract

The preparation of four series of 3,3โ€diMeโ€3โ€silaโ€1โ€Xโ€cyclohexanes (with X=O, S, NMe, Se, Te) is reported. These series are: the parent compounds, the 2โ€phenyl derivatives, the 5โ€tert. Bu derivatives and the 6โ€Me derivatives.

Attempts to prepare 4โ€substituted derivatives along analoguous synthetic routes were unsuccessful.
