Abstract

Using Kolbe electrolysis of methyl hydrogen [^2^H~0~]‐, [^2^H~2~]‐, and [^2^H~4~]‐succinates as a key reaction, adipic [2,2‐^2^H~2~]‐, [2,3‐^2^H~2~]‐, [2,2,3,3‐^2^H~4~]‐, [2,3,4,5‐^2^H~4~]‐, [2,3,5,5‐^2^H~4~]‐, [2,2,3,3,5,5‐^2^H~6~]‐, and [2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5‐^2^H~8~]‐acids were prepared in high deuterium contents.
