## Abstract It is shown that 2‐vinyl‐1,3‐dioxan can be synthesized by the methods of __Faass__ and __Hilgert__^1^ and of __Fisher__ and __Smith__^2^. From 2‐vinyl‐1,3‐dioxan we obtained 2‐ethyl‐1,3‐dioxan and 2‐(1′,2′‐dibromoethyl)‐1,3‐dioxan. 4‐Vinyl‐1,3‐dioxan and 2‐vinyl‐1,3‐dioxan have the same
