โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
A mouse monoclonal antibody, W14A, has been prepared which reacts with intact human chorionic gonadotropin and its betaโsubunit, showing less than 2% crossโreactivity towards the alphaโsubunit and 0.5% crossโreactivity towards the betaโsubunit of luteinizing hormone. The reagent is suitable for the radioimmunolocalization of choriocarcinoma and trophoblastic teratoma in humans. A preliminary radioimmunoassay has been developed.

Antibodies were assayed in serum samples obtained from rabbits or women immunized with a vaccine based on a C-terminal peptide (109-145; CTP) of the beta-subunit of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) with use of a ligand-binding assay. In rabbit samples, two types of assay were used. The first "hom
In an attempt to obtain a therapeutic antibody, the murine monoclonal antibody (MAb) MBr I (IgM,k), directed against human carcinomas, was converted in a mouse/human chimeric MAb of y l isotype. The chimeric MAb, y l CHI-MBrl, retains the ability to specifically bind tumor cells and tissues with no
The anticancer agent neocarzinostatin (NCS) was bound covalently to human/mouse chimeric Fab fragments of the monoclonal antibody A7 to form the conjugate chA7Fab-NCS. The antitumor effect of chA7Fab-NCS was tested by measuring the inhibition of 3H-thymidine incorporation into human pancreatic carci
