Oxidation of 6 gavea 1:1 mixture of the ~g (IRS, 3$R)-( 13) and (IR S, 3R S)-(1 4) ditlfiira~ 1-oxides. ~ reacJion of the dithiirane 6 yielded the correspc,xding 8-oxa-6,7-dithi=hlcyclo[3.2.1]octane daivalive 1 $ as the ma~n product.
