Bismuth titanate, Bi4Ti3O12 (BTO), is a typical ferroelectric material with useful properties for optical memory, piezoelectric and electro-optic devices. Its nano-crystals were compounded by the chemical solution decomposition technique. The structure and size of BTO were analyzed by X-ray di racti

β¦ Synopsis
A novel dmit^2-^ salt:
[C~16~H~33~CH~3~)~3~N]Co(dmit)~2-~ (abbreviated as CTCO,
dmit^2-^=4,5-dithiolate-1,3-dithiole-2-thione), is synthesized
.The composite polymer CTCO/PMMA films are prepared by
spin-coating method and the propagation losses of the composite
polymer CTCO/PMMA films are measured by photographic technique
which is simple in construction. Such a configuration enables us
to determine the propagation losses, which are independent of
coupling efficiencies into and out of the guide and of the laser
fluctuation and it is a real-time, non-contact, accurate method.
The propagation losses of the composite polymer CTCO/PMMA films
with five different concentrations are measured, and the results
are consistent with our theoretical analysis. At last the method
and results are discussed.
