β¦ Synopsis
Compounds of the series Ln 6 ReO 12 , Lnβ«Ψβ¬Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu, have been prepared by subsolidus reaction and are isotypic with Ln 6 MoO 12 , Ln 6 WO 12 , and Ln 6 UO 12 , crystallizing in space group R3 with Zβ«3Ψβ¬ for the R-centered setting. The magnetic moment per rhenium ion in Lu 6 ReO 12 is 0.74(1) B , and Yb 6 ReO 12 orders antiferromagnetically below 2.15(10) K.
