## Abstract A simple, rapid microcolumn preconcentration and separation technique is described for the determination of the trace rare earth elements Sm, Tm, Ho, and Nd in geological samples by Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry (ICP‐AES). The technique was based on adsorption
