✦ Synopsis

Abstract

A phytochemical investigation of Toona ciliata var. ciliata afforded three new polyynes, 1–3. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis and chemical methods. Only compound 3 exhibited potent cytotoxicity against the HL‐60 cell line with an IC~50~ value of 6.7±0.27 μM.
