Mono and disodium adducts of several compounds with C=C, C=O, C=N, N=N, N=NO. and N=O double bonds were prepared to test the ability of the formed radical anions and dianions to initiate the polymerization of acrylonitrile, methylmethacrylate, styrene, and vinylacetate in tetrahydrofuran. 1,1,4,4-t
