✦ Synopsis


The polarographic behaviour of tetrahedral MX,* complexes (M = Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I) has been investigated in dimethylformami de, where such complex anions are reduced at much more negative potentials than the corresponding octahedral solvates, the only exception being Ni. Polarographic data atford evidence for in creasing stability of the tetrahalogeno complexes in the order I < Br < Cl. Co-ordination number of the investigated metals ions towards halides is never observed to exceed 4. Easier reducibility of Ni*+ in chloride media allows sharp Ni/Co and Ni/Fe separations. La stabilit6 de ces complexes tetrahalogenes crolt selon I < Br < Cl. L'on n'a jamals observe d'indice de coordination > 4. La facile reduction de Ni*+ en milieu chlorure permet des separations nettes Ni/Co et NiFe. ZusannnenfassunlI-Man untersuchte das polarographische Verhalten der tetraedrischen Komplexe des Typs MX,'-(M = Mu, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I) in Dimethylformamid, in welchem Lijsungsmittel diese komplexen Anionen bei vie1 negativeren Potentialen reduziert werden als die entsprechenden oktaedrischen Solvate, mit Ausnahme der Nickelkomplexe. Die polarographischen Daten zeigen eine zunehmende Stabilitat der Tetrahalogen-Komplexe in der Reihenfolge I < Br < Cl auf. Die Koorclmationszahl der untersuchten Metallionen gegentlber den Halogenen wurde me grissser als 4 gefunden. Die leichtere Reduzierbarkeit von Nil+ in Chlorid-Medien erlaubt scharfe TreMungen zwischen Ni/Co und xwischen Ni/Fe. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
