The stability constants ofcomplexes with different stoichiometries formed by Cu(I1) with tartrate and malonate anions were determined, together with the formation constants of the mixed complexes Cu(II)-MAL-TAR. These studies were made with the help of the De Ford-Hume and Schaap-McMasters polarogra

✦ Synopsis
New data are presented concerning the various soluble complex species formed from copper(R) and ethylenediaminetetraacetate in the pH range 3 ~12. A polarogrsphic study has been made ofthese species, taking into account the reversibility characteristics of the waves, and an interpretation of the electrode processes has been made on a basis of the theory developed by Matsoda and Ayabe. The study has been extended to mixed lieand comnlexes additionallv containing glycine, and thediffusion, kinetic and ionization constants have be&determined.
