Haploid embryogenic tissue was initiated on 1/2 LM medium supplemented with 500 mg/l glutamine, 1000 mg/l casein hydrolysate, 100 mg/l inositol, 30000 mg/l sucrose, and 0.1 mg/l 2,4-D. The embryoids matured to produce plantlets. One plant from one of the two lines survived. The chromosome complement
