## Abstract The microsrip‐fed ultrawideband (UWB) monopole antenna is studied. The design is demonstrated assuming FR4 substrate with a relative dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness of 1.6 mm. The presented results show that the proposed antenna of 43 mm Γ—50 mm dimensions has a bandwidth from 2
