โœฆ Synopsis

The purpose of this invention is to provide an improve threaded pipe joint for the oil and gas industry. This is achieved by the contact between pin and coupling on the bottom diameter of the pin thread and the peak diameter of the coupling thread. The thread has an asymmetric trapezoidal shape. The threaded joint is claimed to withstand 100% of the axial load rating of the pipe, and the thread form is claimed to be particularly resistant to corrosion.
