A method and apparatus for installing casing hangers in a wellbore using an externally activated gripping system is described. The purpose is to provide an annulus seal that can also be released and the hanger position adjusted. It appears to comprise an annular bush which is compressed radially by hydraulic pressure to create the seal, but no real details seem to be presented.
