โฆ Synopsis
Tlie phciionit~iioii of pholorecovcry (Keliier, '49) f roni ultraviolet radiation damage has 1)eeii shown to occur in Inany forms iii the aiiinial and plant kingdoms. It was first tlerrioiistratctl in vertcbiates by Blum and Matthews ( '52) after repeated doses of ultraviolct, but later Rieck ('54) showed photorecovery to occur in the developing forelimb of Amblystonia after single exposurcis to ultraviolet light. The present paper reports two aspects of this phcnomcrion of photorecovery in the albino mouse ; apparently the first examplc. in a mammal.

The Dead Sea basin offers a unique site to study the attenuation of the ultraviolet (UV) radiation, as it is situated at the lowest point on Earth, about 400 m below sea level, and the air above the Dead Sea is characterized by a relatively high aerosol content due to the very high salt content of t
Despite the benefits of sunscreens, ultraviolet (UV) exposure can still lead to skin cancer. In this study we investigated the effect of topical application of the antioxidant vitamin E acetate (VEA) on the inhibition of UV-induced carcinogenesis. Hairless SKH-1 mice received 5.2 mg of VEA 30 min be
