## Abstract The Zn–ZnO nanostructure thin films are prepared by an inexpensive vacuum arc‐discharge method combined with vacuum annealing. The structural analysis of the grazing‐incidence X‐ray diffraction pattern using the Rietveld method showed the formation of Zn–ZnO in a single phase. The coexi
