✦ Synopsis
Photoionization processes of the van der WaaIs molecules (O&, (02)3, and ArO,, produced in a supersonic expansion were s&died in the 50-100 nm region of synchrotron radiation using mass spectrometry. In the photoionization efficiency (PIE) curves, a large number of autoionization structures of O2 in the 70-100 nm region were almost completely diminished in these clusters, except for the structure due to the c T; (3~0,) Rydberg state of O> Molecular rearrangement seemed to be very important in the formation of 0: and ArO+. Selective photoionization into the 0: (b 2;) state was observed in the PIE spectrum of Al-O+.

Penning ionization of He(2%) +HrO and DzO has been studied by observing the A\*A,-a \*B, emission system of HrO+ and DzO+ in a low-pressure flowing afterglow. The vibrational distributions of HrO+ (A) and DrO+(& were consistent with those predicted from Franck-Condon-type vertical excitation. A stro
