β¦ Synopsis
The delayed fluorescence (DF), the action DF spectrum, the incident light intensity dependence of the DF and the DF decay of an anthraoene single crystal at 77Β°K arc analyzed. It is proposed that the delayed fluorescence originates from electron-hole recombinations after photogeneration of charge carriers by the near LJV tight ilIumin tion.

Photo-carrier generation with 420 nm light (hv=2.95 eV) in an anthracene single crystal has been studied, The main experimental results are the following: ( 1) The photocurrent waveforms correspond to the penetration depth of the exciting light. (2) The number of carriers generated is proportional t

The decrease in delayed fluorescence intensity in anthracene-tetracyanobenzene upon application of an electric field is investigated. It is shown, that photogenerated free carriers are responsible for the observed quenchkg, and rhat the entity quenched is an intermediate state between a triplet-pair
