β¦ Synopsis
Photoemission data from a tilted superlattice configuration are presented. It is argued that this kind of superlattice is better suited for photoemission studies of bulk-like interfaces than conventional thin overlayer structures. The valence band spectra allow for direct determination of the valence band offset via observation of double features at the (X_{3}) point. The offset value, (0.4 \mathrm{eV}), deduced from these data is in agreement with that from core level spectra.
