β¦ Synopsis
The He(I) photoelectron spectrum of the PN molecule, prcduccd by the vaporization of P3Ns at 1100 K, has been recordd.
The assignment of the observed bands on the basis of vibrational fine structure indicates that this molecule constitutes another example of the qualitative failure of Koopmans' theorem.

A new photoelectron spectrum has been observed in the pyrolysis products of dimethyldisulphide, CHaSSCH3. As the major product under these conditions is known to be the unstable species thioformaldehyde, H2CS, the new spectrum has been assigned to this molecule. The first ionisation potential is 9.3
The He I and Mg Ka photoelectron spectra of TNXP in the vapor and solid state were mmsured. The tirst ionization potenti& in the wpor nnd solid states are determined to be S-67 and 7.80 eV respectirely. Vibrational structure is resolved in the fkst two bands in the Ne I photoelectron spectrum of iodine. The ndiabatic IP is established by temperature wriation, and spectroscopic IP fcr both bands are found tc correspond to production of ions with three vibrational quanta. A photoionization %lalue for
