The fluorescence emission properties of 7-azaindole (7AI) are examined in aerosol-OT (AOT) reverse micelles in n-heptane. The emission dramatically changes from a typical dual fluorescence (A,,,, x 326, 480 nm) behavior in n-heptane, to a single fluorescence band (&,,,, z 350 nm) with enhanced yield
