The kinetic behavior of yeast alcohol dehydrogenase (YADH) in sodium di-2-ethylhexylsulfosuccinate (AOT) isooctane reverse micelles has been studied using methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), NADH and Tris as the substrate, coenzyme and buffer, respectively. The solubility diagrams of aqueous buffer in the is

β¦ Synopsis
The fluorescence emission properties of 7-azaindole (7AI) are examined in aerosol-OT (AOT) reverse micelles in n-heptane. The emission dramatically changes from a typical dual fluorescence (A,,,, x 326, 480 nm) behavior in n-heptane, to a single fluorescence band (&,,,, z 350 nm) with enhanced yield in the presence of AOT. Upon progressive addition of water to the 7AI/ AOT/n-heptane solutions the emission undergoes a red-shift, along with significant decreases in quantum yield and drastic changes in decay kinetics. The results are interpreted in terms of the variations in the microenvironments of 7A1, which depend in a sensitive manner on the water/surfactant molar ratio.

## Abstract The photophysical property of the tricarbocyanine dye IR144 has been extensively studied in nonβaqueous solvents. However, as a potential nearβinfrared biomedical imaging probe, the photophysical property of IR144 in water is still little known. So, the aggregation behaviors of IR144 in
The synthesis of platinum ultrafine particles by the reduction of H2PtCl6 with hydrazine in AOT/isooctane reverse micellar solutions has been studied. By high-resolution electron microscope, electron diffraction pattern, and XRD analyses, the resultant particles have been found to be pure platinum o
Polyphenol oxidase catalysing the oxidation of 4-methylcatechol in reverse micelles of AOT/cyclohexane had an optimum temperature 15 Β°C higher than in aqueous medium. However, the enzyme lost stability when it was preincubated in reverse micelles in the absence of substrate regardless of the tempera
