Abstract

N‐phosphorylhistidine was converted into its ester and phosphoric ester exchanged products in alcoholic media. It was demonstrated that the co‐participation of the three functional groups of phosphoryl, imidazolyl, and carboxyl in the molecule is essential for these reactions to occur. Also, the neat phosphoryl transfer reaction occurs with N^α^, N^Im^‐Bis‐phosphohistidine.
