Optically detected magnetic resonance (ODMR) techniques are used to determine the orbital asQnment of the phosphorescent triplet state of p-benzoquinone in the condensed phase. The principal spin-orbit coupl% routes are discussed in terms of the observed spin-vibronic activity.
Conventional microwave and optically detected ESR of l,l-naphthyridine in a durcne host sir@ crystal is reported.
The zero-flcld cphtting of the triplet \tnte of mqncsmmporphin solvatcd by ethzmol is rcprcsented by D = 0.035 cm-t and KI = 0.010 cm-'. The decay rates of the upper two spin componenti both nre found to be about 20 s-~, while that of the bottom component (where the spin lict in the molecular plane)
