โฆ Synopsis
Abstract
Both the enantiomers of 2โmethylโ4โheptanol (1) and 2โmethylโ4โoctanol (2), the components of the maleโproduced aggregation pheromone of the West Indian sugarcane borer (Metamasius hemipterus), were synthesized by starting from the enantiomers of leucine.
