The effects of different pharmacological substances on dithranoi-induced irritative dermatitis were studied in mice. Pretreatment of the animals with a specific platelet activating factor (PAF) antagonist, BN 52021, significantly reduced the ear swelling in a dosedependent manner. The cyclooxygenase
