The emergence of the Israeli biotech industry parallels other high technology initiatives in Israel. While comparatively young compared with the US and emerging European biotech industries, the Israeli biotech industry has been very productive in collaboration with scientists from the centers of higher learning in Israel. In this overview, some of the companies involved in the commercialization of biomedical research in Israel are discussed.
