A standard Philadelphia translocation, t(9;22) (q34;qll), was found In lymph node cells from a patient with non-leukemic non-Hodgkln lymphoma at the time of diagnosis. The rearrangement of the breakpoint cluster region (bcr) was not detected with a bcr-3' probe, The neoplastic clone was of monoclonal B-cell character with E-, CD5-, CDlO-, CD13-, CD19t, CDZOt, CD21+, CD255, HLA DRt, and positive surface Ig(kappa). The patient showed no evidence of chronic myelogenous leukemia.
