Oxidation of 2 ',3', 5'-tri-0-acety2. derivatives of N6,iV6-dialkyl-adenosincsf3a-gl with KMnO I, in 50% AcOH gave both the mono(5a-gl and dideaZkyZ derivative.s(ba-cl ; it was conclusively proved that one and two methyZene groups of the title nucZeosidesl.,a-g) in the a position to the exocyclic nitrogen atom were simultaneously oxidized.
