✦ Synopsis

The paper derives a relationship that efficiently converts a sequence of Euler angle rotations with a moving coordinate frame to rotations based on the fixed global frame. The latter are commonly used in CAD and 3D modelling systems, and the former in dynamic simulation of scientific and engineering systems. The formula obtained allows direct linkage between the two; the rotations in dynamic simulation systems can be utilized without extra effort using existing CAD systems. The result is generalized to allow any number of rotations in a sequence.
