✦ Synopsis

E-and H-plane coupling. It is noted that the presented formula gives a close approximation to the measured mutual coupling characteristic; it is not computationally intensive, allowing it to be directly used in a CAD circuit simulation package. A knowledge of the mutual coupling characteristics, at any orientation angle, enables an exact design of active antenna arrays which rely on mutual coupling for frequency entrainment and modal stability.

This letter analyzes the performance of M-ary orthogonal signaling in an FO-CDMA communication system employing optical orthogonal codes. The BER probability is e¨aluated by assuming Gaussian statistics for the recei¨er output. The numerical results illustrate that M-ary orthogonal signaling in an F
