β¦ Synopsis
A quantitative study has been made of the elementary stages of radiation-induced radical polymerization of a series of vinyl monomers on the surface of silica and its modifications. Rate constants and other kinetic parameters of polymerization have been measured for systems with weak adsorption. Major characteristics of each individual polymerization stage have been determined.
