✦ Synopsis

The magnetic field effect on the morphology of electrodeposited zinc was investigated in a thin-layer ZnSO4 aqueous solution. The growth morphology drastically changed from DLA-like and dendritic patterns in 0T to a spiral pattern and an asymmetric dendrite in magnetic fields lower than 0.5 T, respectively, and both patterns changed into a dense and compact one in magnetic fields higher than 1 T.
