In their paper on stroke directions Franks, Davis, Totty, Hardcastle and Grove [I] describe some phenomena of handwriting substantially dependent on the writing hand. Of 117 left-handed writers, 76% wrote the cross-stroke of the block capital J from right to left. Of 251 right-handed writers, none d
