โœฆ Synopsis

The thermally induced acoustic effect occurring in a regenerator with a temperature gradient has been observed on a particularly built regenerator experimental set-up attached to a Stirling cryocooler system. To describe this thermoacoustic phenomenon, a parity simulation network model has been established in the form of an oscillation circuit with positive feedback amplification. The model vividly shows the influence on the whole system of the change in flow impedance in the regenerator caused by the change in temperature gradient.
