✦ Synopsis

The interaction of an acoustic wave and a clamped elastic panel is considered. Using the fact that the ratio of the acoustic sound speed in the fluid to the surface wave speed in the panel is small, we are able to derive by a systematic asymptotic analysis an on surface boundary condition for this scattering problem.

In this letter, we study the electron-ion quantum plasma oscillations in C 60 molecule using the linearized quantum hydrodynamic model in conjunction with the Poisson's equation. We obtain a new low-frequency electrostatic excitation in the C 60 molecule, i.e., quantum ion-acoustic wave oscillations
