β¦ Synopsis
In this letter, we study the electron-ion quantum plasma oscillations in C 60 molecule using the linearized quantum hydrodynamic model in conjunction with the Poisson's equation. We obtain a new low-frequency electrostatic excitation in the C 60 molecule, i.e., quantum ion-acoustic wave oscillations in addition to the high-frequency dispersion.
