✦ Synopsis

The first synthesis of arylboronic esters via the coupling of bis(pinacolato)diboron with easily prepared aryldiazonium tetrafluoroborate salts is reported. The palladium-catalyzed borylation reaction proceeds efficiently under mild reaction conditions in the absence of a base to afford various functionalized arylboronic esters in moderate to high yields.
