The scheduled maintenance cycle was 90 days but premature sealing issues occurred within 30-60 days. The incumbent O-ring performance issues were related to mechanical as well as chemical attack w

โฆ Synopsis
Packing sales grow by 400%
B eldam Crossley has announced that sales of its Pilotsil 8500 silica-based compression packing increased by a factor of four during 2008.
This packing is a silica-based cross-plait packing manufactured from entirely non-asbestos and non-ceramic material reinforced with inconel wire and surface treated with a solid lubricant. It is intended for use in either static or low speed dynamic applications and is recommended for use up to 700ยฐC and can be found in steelmaking, metalworking, pottery manufacture and waste incineration. Marketing director Steve Leopold attributes much of the success to the availability of the packing in both square and rectangular sections as either continuous coils, cut lengths or customised ready-made rings.

Sealing Technology
In this paper we apply some results about general conformal iterated function systems to A, the residual set of a standard Apollonian packing or a curvilinear Sierpinski gasket. Within this context, it is straightforward to show that h, the Hausdorff dimension of A, is greater than 1 and the packing
