## Abstract Epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) is treated mainly by platinumโ€based combination chemotherapy. Chemotherapy induces apoptosis in which the Fas/Fas ligand pathway is important. Serum soluble Fas (sFas) is a biomarker of this pathway and functionally inhibits Fasโ€/FasLโ€mediated apoptosis.
